Elizabeth Lindley is a Specialist Clinical Scientist working in the Department of Renal Medicine at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the United Kingdom. Dr Lindley originally trained as a solid state physicist at the Institute Laue-Langevin in Grenoble. She moved to cancer research after completing her PhD and then to renal care in 1989. She has served with the European Dialysis and Transplant Nurses Association/European Renal Care Association (EDTNA/ERCA) as Research Board Chair and Journal Club Moderator, and was a member of the Workgroup that developed the KDIGO Clinical Practice Guidelines for the Prevention, Diagnosis, Evaluation and Treatment of Hepatitis C in Chronic Kidney Disease. Dr Lindley is currently the moderator of RenalPro, an international e-mail discussion forum for renal care professionals. She is also a member of the European Renal Best Practice Advisory Board and UK Association of Renal Technologists Education Board. Dr Lindley’s interests include continuous quality improvement, dialysis adequacy, body composition and the management of renal anaemia and bone disease.
